Connecting Farmers and Consumers

Consumers are more interested in how their food is grown, processed and brought to market than ever before. BCAC is leading an industry collaboration to bridge information gaps, understand and address concerns, and strengthen confidence between consumers and BC’s land and ocean-based producers.

Farmer Workshops and Resources

Many farmers and ranchers want to share more about farming with the public but don't know how or where to start. Some are already doing a great job but interested in learning more. BC Agriculture Council offers workshops and other useful tools that can help bring more agriculture awareness to the non-farming community.

IMPORTANT TO FARMERS

How the way you shop makes an impact right here in your home province.

Connecting people back to the farm

Consumers are more interested in how their food is grown, processed and brought to market than ever before. We simply want to make sure that consumers — in an environment where they are bombarded with contradictions — have the balanced information they need about food to make informed choices that are right for them and their families.

SUCCESS STORIES: B.C. FARM TOURS

Through We Heart Local (WHL) BC, BCAC has offered a number of farm tours throughout the province. These tours target audiences such as chefs, health professionals and educators. Visiting farms highlights the work that BC farmers do every day to produce safe, affordable food.
