How to Get a BC Farmer ID Card

First time? Use this option for a new application.

Use your email to receive a renewal application.

 

Email, Fax or Mail: Download the PDF application, then submit by email, fax or mail. Choose from: ENGLISH or PUNJABI

Phone: Call 1.866.522.3447 (toll free) to walk through an application by phone or request a hard copy. You will need to send a copy of the current year's property assessment or tax notice as proof of farm status.

Card Pricing

Member rates are given to those farmers who have a valid membership to a BCAC member association. To view a list of BCAC members associations, click here.

ADD-ON: Additional cards* are available for $25/year per person.

*Additional cardholders are designated personnel authorized to make purchases on behalf of the qualifying farmer. An additional card can also be purchased if more than two qualifying farmers wish to receive a card. Additional cards are an add-on, so they must be purchased with the base qualified card(s).

1WHAT IS THE BC FARMER ID CARD?
The BC Farmer ID Card is specifically designed to offer farmers and ranchers exclusive benefits and convenience. It is the only card recognized by the provincial government as proof of qualified farm status. It is also accepted by many retailers for PST exemptions on specific farm purchases.
2WHO CAN PURCHASE THE CARD?
The card is available to all qualified B.C. farmers and ranchers as defined by BC Assessment. If you own or lease farm land in B.C., you can apply for the card.
3IS THE REVENUE FROM THE CARD USED TO BENEFIT AGRICULTURE?
Yes. Revenue from the card is used to stabilize member association dues and improve services and programs offered by BCAC that benefit the farmers and their associations. By purchasing a card, you're supporting BCAC's work to grow B.C. into the most robust and sustainable agricultural province in Canada.
