BC Berry Grower
Born into the farming industry, Rhonda carries on the family tradition as president and owner of Blueridge Produce Inc., one of British Columbia’s largest wholesaler, retailer, producer and distributor of fresh and frozen berries internationally and throughout North America, and Driediger Farms Ltd., a 160-acre farm producing blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and red currants for retail, wholesale and their on-farm retail market and u-pick operation.
When she is not overseeing the farm and packing businesses, Rhonda volunteers countless hours addressing agriculture issues. She has served as a director of the B.C. Agricultural Council (BCAC) since 2007 with a mission to continually improve the social, economic and environmental sustainability of B.C. agriculture. In her current role as vice chair, Rhonda assists in the council’s advocacy work, including serving as co-chair of council’s labour committee to strengthen relationships between farm owners and their workers. Rhonda is a proud supporter of all of BC’s agricultural products. “In my opinion, the people of BC are in an enviable position, with access to world class fruit, vegetables, meat, wine, dairy, cheese, plants and flowers, produced right here in our great province.”
