Gourlay Family

Farmers Nancy and Clarke Gourlay manage Little Qualicum Cheeseworks along with Mooberry Winery and Morningstar Farm, though they’re quick to remind you that their farming is a team effort. Field staff, herd staff, cheese-makers, packaging staff, wholesale and distribution managers, not to mention the team running their successful farm-gate store – the Gourlay’s offer big praise to them all, and it’s clear from this roster that the farm has come a long way since its inception in 2001.

Edgar Smith

Edgar Smith has been taking care of dairy cattle since he was a little boy on his family farm. Today, Edgar and his brothers, Doug and Phillip, keep busy operating a cranberry and organic beef farm in addition to producing artisan cheeses. He is passionate about supporting the local community, having his fingers in the soil and producing high-quality food.

Rhonda Driediger

Born into the farming industry, Rhonda carries on the family tradition as president and owner of Blueridge Produce Inc., one of British Columbia’s largest wholesaler, retailer, producer and distributor of fresh and frozen berries internationally and throughout North America, and Driediger Farms Ltd., a 160-acre farm producing blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and red currants for retail, wholesale and their on-farm retail market and u-pick operation.

Hopcott Family

Located in Pitt Meadows, BC, Hopcott Farms is a third-generation cattle farm. Bob Hopcott and his family are strong advocates of eating local, supporting fellow farmers, and strengthening community relations. Their grass-fed cattle are sourced from ranches, located in the interior of BC, that have not been implanted with growth additives, hormones, or antibiotics.

The Seelhof Family

The Woodjam ranch was established in 1899 and is a cattle ranch located in Horsefly, BC surrounded by mountainous terrain and the beautiful Horsefly river. The ranch adopted its name from a log-jam that occurred in the river, that created a bridge formation which passed through into the ranch. Back in the early years, the ranch was known to be a hideout spot for Jesse James & his crew!

Narcosli Cattle Co Ltd – Durrell Kishkan Family

BC Cattle Rancher Erin Durrell has a long family history of farming and grew up as the 4th generation on a large ranch just west of Williams Lake. In 2015, Erin and her family (Jeremy Kishkan, Trenton and Henri-Rose) purchased a property along the Fraser River in Quesnel, BC and started Narcosli Cattle Co. Ltd.[…]
